Do I need to paint correct before using MAXEasy?Updated 2 months ago
Paint Correction and Surface Preparation
You do not have to perform paint correction before using MAXEasy. While it is always beneficial to decontaminate, clay, and polish (paint correct) if you have the time, tools, and knowledge, it is not mandatory. MAXEasy will help mask a lot of swirl marks due to its light-refracting properties, making scratches less visible.
Using a Clay Bar
You can use a clay bar first if you want to, but typically you need to polish or buff the marring that results from using a clay bar. Although some people claim you can clay bar without marring, we have not found this to be consistently true.
Alternative to Clay Bar
If you feel you have contaminants that need to be removed, consider using MAXRemove:
- Application: Apply MAXRemove to remove contaminants first, then wash the car with a quality pH-neutral shampoo like MAXWash.
- Follow-Up: After cleaning, apply MAXEasy to see how it performs.
Applying MAXEasy
MAXEasy can be used on practically any surface, whether wet or dry, with the same performance. It is easy to reapply anytime, making it a versatile product for frequent use.
Reapplication and Maintenance
- Frequency: Some users apply MAXEasy once a month, while others who avoid harsh elements may use it every 6 to 12 months. Reapply when you notice the water not beading as effectively as before.
- Performance: MAXEasy enhances the appearance of surfaces by making scratches harder to see and providing a hydrophobic layer that repels water.
