How to Apply MAXEasy to a MotorHome, RV, 5th Wheel, or CamperUpdated 4 months ago
**Make sure you are out of direct sunlight, because sunlight causes MAXEasy to start drying and curing fast, which you do not want to happen until you are ready.
Method 1: Foam Cannon Application (Quickest and easiest but uses the most product)
Wash: Wash your motorhome as usual using a pH neutral soap that doesn't contain any waxes or sealants.
- Prepare Foam Cannon: Use MAXEasy as is, do not dilute. The MAXL bottle may fit some foam cannons but may not fully seat.
- Set Output Dial: Adjust the foam cannon's output dial to maximum concentration to prevent over-diluting MAXEasy.
- Apply MAXEasy: While the surface is wet from rinsing the soap off, use the foam cannon to apply MAXEasy in quick, sweeping bursts. Cover large areas efficiently, applying just enough to lightly coat the surface. MAXEasy does not produce foam. Avoid letting excess product dry on the surface. You do not have to spray MAXEasy on every square inch because MAXEasy will spread very easy when you rinse.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Start rinsing from the bottom up to effectively spread MAXEasy while rinsing it off.
- Dry Immediately: Use the MAXL SoftSorb Drying Towel to dry the motorhome. While drying, inspect the surface for any excess product. Use the damp towel to smooth out any streaking, hazing, or other marks caused by excess product. You can use a leaf blower to blow air out of hard to reach areas, seams, lights, mirrors, etc; however, always follow up with the MAXL SoftSorb Drying Towel to smooth out any areas where there may be excess product. Do not let any excess product dry on the surface.
Method 2: YellowCell Sponge or Extension Pole with Non-Abrasive Applicator (Quick, easy, conserves product)
- Wash: Wash as normal.
- Apply MAXEasy: Set the trigger sprayer on the MAXEasy bottle to the stream setting so you can reach higher areas and spray the surface in sweeping motions. Space your spray lines about 2 to 3 feet apart. This works great for house windows too. Then spray MAXEasy on MAXL YellowCell Hypersoft sponge or on the non-abrasive applicator pad on your extension pole. Start at the top and wipe to spread MAXEasy around, again you don't have to be perfect since rinsing will easily spread it everywhere.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Start rinsing from the bottom up to effectively spread MAXEasy while rinsing it off.
- Dry Immediately: Use the MAXL SoftSorb Drying Towel to dry and smooth out any areas with excess product.
Method 3: Spray and Wipe (No rinse needed, slower but conserves product)
- Spray and Wipe: Apply MAXEasy on a clean surface using a trigger sprayer and spray some MAXEasy on your application microfiber towel. Wipe just like you would a detail spray or sealant to spread MAXEasy around. Then flip your towel to a dry side to hand buff to a pretty finish. After a bit your towel will be soaked with MAXEasy and will be a wet wipe where you wont have to spray as much product. Have some clean microfiber towels to use as your buff off towels going forward.
Key Points to Remember:
- Top-Down Application: Always start applying from the top of your motorhome and work your way down.
- Bottom-Up Rinsing: When rinsing, spray from the bottom upwards to maximize coverage and help the product reach all areas.
- Drying is Crucial: Regardless of the method used, drying is essential for a spotless finish.
Tips to Avoid Overuse:
- Spray Sparingly: Apply only 1-4 sprays per panel. Overusing can lead to streaks, haze, smears, and residues.
- Check for Excess Product: If you see any streaks or smears, use a damp microfiber towel to buff and wipe off the excess product.
Estimating MAXEasy Usage:
For your first time with MAXEasy, expect to use about two bottles to cover your motorhome. As you become more familiar with the application and how well it spreads, you’ll likely need just one bottle for future applications. With experience, you’ll find the best ways to extend the use of the product.
Cure Time:
Allow MAXEasy 24-48 hours to achieve peak performance and chemical resistance. Hydrophobicity will drastically increase over this period. Extended exposure to direct sunlight will also increase hydrophobicity, especially on glass.
