Yes! MAXRemove can be used as an iron remover. It can remove contaminants such as iron that have embedded in the surface. If you suspect heavy iron contamination, use MAXRemove at full strength. 

For severe iron contamination, you may have to treat multiple times along with agitating the surface. The MAXL YellowCell Hypersoft Sponge is great for this because it will prevent marring and scratching.
