Does MAXEasy fill in or remove light scratches, swirls, or halo marks?Updated 5 months ago
Light Scratches and Swirls
MAXEasy doesn't "fill in" micro scratches, it instead "masks" them by causing the light to refract off of the surface differently making them hard to see. The modified light refraction is also one of the main reasons it makes surfaces look new. Glossy surfaces look like a mirror, matte surfaces look new or better than new.
Removing Swirl Marks
The only way to remove swirls and scratches is to cut and buff them out using a DA polisher. Many people are learning how to do paint correction themselves with tutorials available on YouTube. A cheap DA polisher from a store like Harbor Freight can be a good option if you plan to use it only a few times.
Recommended Products
- MAXEasy: While it won’t remove swirls, it can make them harder to see because of the way it refracts light. This may help improve the appearance until you’re ready for paint correction.
- MAXL Method Complete System: Using this system can help prevent swirls from forming in the first place.
