How do I handle removing heavy contamination with MAXRemove?Updated 11 days ago
After using MAXRemove at a 4:1 dilution and letting it dwell on the surface for at least two minutes, rinse it off completely. Then place your finger inside a smooth plastic bag and lightly glide it across a small section of the surface. If you feel roughness or a sandpaper-like texture, that means there is still heavy contamination bonded to the paint.
For these tougher areas, use MAXRemove at full concentrate and gently agitate the surface with the MAXL YellowCell Wash Sponge. This helps loosen deeper contamination so MAXRemove can reach it more effectively. Some surfaces may require multiple treatments along with light physical contact to fully dislodge the bonded particles.
For an even more aggressive approach, you can use a clay towel or decontamination towel along with MAXRemove. We recommend a clay towel instead of a traditional clay bar because some clay bars may contain materials that MAXRemove may try to dissolve.
If the contamination has etched into the surface or stained the clear coat, MAXRemove will not be able to remove the etching. In those cases, polishing or buffing will be required to repair the surface.
