Step 1) Wash & Rinse
Wash and rinse the surface thoroughly before you start. Never clay a dirty surface — loose grit will scratch the paint. First time using RESMOOTH? Break it in on your windshield first: spray lubricant on the glass and the towel, glide in straight lines for 30–60 seconds, then wipe dry. Your towel is ready for paint.

Step 2) Lubricate & Glide
Spray lubricant generously on the surface and the towel — keep both wet the entire time. For heavy bug splatter or tar, use the bug mesh side first, then switch to the clay side. Glide in straight lines using hand weight only. No pressure, no scrubbing.

Step 3) Check & Repeat
Wipe the panel dry and run your hand across it. Still feels rough or gritty? Re-lubricate and repeat. Feels glass-smooth? Move to the next panel.

Step 4) Protect
Claying removes your existing protection. Always finish with a Triphene protectant — MAXL ONE or MAXEasy — before you're done.
