Is MAXEasy affected by heat?Updated 2 months ago
MAXEasy can handle up to about 600° F (300°C) before it starts to degrade. Once applied, the more MAXEasy is exposed to direct sunlight, the stronger it's bond becomes. On glass it can form a near-permanent bond if it gets hot enough.
Do not use MAXEasy in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight accelerates the cure time of MAXEasy. Some professionals use MAXEasy in direct sunlight but they have a lot of experience and work quickly. If you apply in direct sunlight, and notice any excess product on the surface such as an oily residue, streaks, etc. remove immediately before it cures. The longer MAXEasy is on the surface, the harder it will be to remove. MAXEasy is designed to be a sacrificial coating, but it is very tough coating and should be respected as such.
