Will MAXRemove remove water spots?Updated a month ago

Note: Water spots must always be addressed immediately to reduce chances of etching into the surface. Once water spots have etched into the paint or clear coat, they must be repaired with an abrasive compound. Hard water and direct sunlight are the biggest causes of etching.

MAXRemove works very well on fresh water spots. Since it uses Acidless Acid™ technology, it can break down minerals and deposits safely without damaging the surface. If the spots are fresh and not etched, MAXRemove usually removes them quickly.

Start with a 4:1 dilution (four parts water to one part MAXRemove). Spray the area, allow a short dwell, and rinse. If the water spots remain, use full concentrate MAXRemove for stronger cleaning power. Agitating with the MAXL YellowCell Wash Sponge can help lift tougher deposits so MAXRemove can reach deeper.

For More Stubborn Water Spots

If spots continue to hold on, using a synthetic clay bar or clay towel along with MAXRemove can help remove the bonded minerals. If the water spots have etched into the surface, chemical cleaners will not fix them and polishing will be required.
